This year, the worlds of cinema and motorsport collide in breathtaking fashion. F1 The Movie, starring and produced by Brad Pitt, redefines the racing genre—not just as a Hollywood spectacle, but as a gripping tale of precision, perseverance, and triumph. The film roars to life with Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 R for the fictional Chip Hart Racing team, tearing through the iconic 24 Hours of Daytona.

The seeds of this collaboration were planted over two years ago at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles. There, Pitt and the film’s director immersed themselves in the raw power and finesse of Porsche engineering. Guided by Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long, Pitt’s training followed a high-octane trajectory—from the 911 GT3 RS to the 911 GT3 Cup—culminating in the race-bred 911 GT3 R featured in the film. Porsche backed the production with six GT3 Rs, plus tires, parts, and technical support during the shoot at Daytona International Speedway—delivering authenticity with every curve and corner.

To celebrate the film’s release, F1 The Movie takes its passion for endurance to motorsport’s most sacred ground: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In partnership with Manthey, one of three Porsche 911 GT3 R entries will wear the Chip Hart Racing livery, turning cinematic fiction into high-speed reality on racing’s grandest stage.
