Auto enthusiasts are raving about the 2025 Porsche Macan. Car and Driver awarded it a perfect 10/10 rating, praising the SUV's tasteful exterior styling, spirited engine options, and brilliant chassis tuning. "A Porsche first and an SUV second, the Macan delivers a joyful sports sedan driving experience in a compact SUV package," wrote the editors.

For the 2025 model year, there are two Porsche Macan models. The gas-powered versions (Macan, Macan S, and Macan GTS) all received engine upgrades and cosmetic improvements. The electric version arrived during the summer of 2024 and is entirely new. "The 2025 Macan Electric pairs the brand's characteristic lithe handling with the immediate thrust of electric motors, and the result is a lively and entertaining package," enthused Car and Driver.

Positioned as the sporty flagship of the acclaimed SUV lineup, the Macan GTS leads the gas-powered models. Its 2.9-liter biturbo V6 engine now produces 440 hp, a boost of 60 hp. True to the Porsche GTS legacy, it showcases impressive responsiveness and power delivery, achieving a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just 4.3 seconds when equipped with the Sport Chrono package, and it can reach a top speed of 170 mph.

The Macan S is now also equipped with a 2.9-liter V6 biturbo engine that produces 27 hp more power than before, with 380 hp. This propels the vehicle from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and gives it a top speed of up to 160 mph.

A newly developed, turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 265 hp serves as the entry point to the Macan world. It completes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 144 mph. As before, all engines are coupled to the seven-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel-drive system.

Exterior Styling
Regardless of which engine you choose, Porsche has further sharpened the visuals of its compact SUV with a number of specific changes. The redesigned nose with an inlay in exterior color emphasizes the Macan’s width, making it look even more imposing on the road. The rear is now rounded off towards the road by a striking diffuser in a particularly technical design. LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and Sport Design exterior mirrors are now standard on all models.

Interior
Inside, the new Porsche Macan offers a substantially enhanced interior with a modern and elegantly designed center console. Its new operating concept, which uses touch surfaces instead of tactile buttons, brings a clear structure to the cockpit. A new, shorter selector lever sits in the center of the clearly organized control module. The analog clock at the top of the dashboard is now also standard equipment.

Technology
The Macan still comes equipped with a variety of standard online functions and services. You can manage these features through the 10.9-inch full HD touchscreen of the Porsche Communication Management system or by utilizing voice commands. The Macan is fitted with the new multi-function and GT sports steering wheels of the 911 and Panamera.

Since its launch in 2014, 600,000 units of the Macan have been delivered globally, highlighting its unique significance at Porsche. Approximately 80 percent of Macan purchasers are new to the Porsche brand. Furthermore, the percentage of women purchasing the Macan has steadily increased in recent years, making it the highest among all Porsche models.
